Goal: To reduce the number of office referrals. Objectives of the action research is to see if there is a correlation between classroom management styles and the number of office referrals.
- How many Level I (minor infractions) and Level II (major infractions) office referrals were there by teacher?
- Do the teachers have a structured classroom management style?
- Is there a need for professional development in the area of managing behaviors in the classroom?
I was wondering on average how many discipline referrals does your school have each week. When I asked our discipline secretary if she would be able to give me a printout of discipline referrals including the number of referrals and the level of infraction she said NO.I would have to review every referral - and we have over 100 faculty members writing up students.
ReplyDeleteI do not have the number of office referrals by week. The assistant principal does a report each six weeks and I will get with her to get the information for the six weeks soon. When I get with her I will ask her if she has this information. Thanks for the comment.
